Greetings, my name is Adria Camille Crisp and I am Miss Phi Mu Alpha for the 1999-2000 school year. I represent the Omicron Gamma Chapter here at Florida A&M University. I was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 25, 1980 to Dr. and Mrs. Robert Crisp. While growing up, I had always sung in choirs at Burton International Scool and my church home, Messiah Baptist Church. Throughout my last four years of education I attended Cass Technical High School. My overall grade point was 3.6. I was involved in several activities during my high scool career. I was the led vocalist in the Cass Jaz Band, a member of the Harp & Vocal Ensemble, where I served as President, Vice President, and Soprano Sectional Leader. I was also in the Concert Choir that performed in many school concerts and events in Detroit. I participated in the Solo and Ensemble Festivals held each year and received superior ratings. The National Honor Society and The Pep Club were other organizations that took place in my senior year. During my participation with the Cass Jazz Band, I sang for many events that led to my love for jazz singing. I performed for the Mayor of Detroit, the Superintendent of Public Schools, Vice President, Al Gore and the composer/arranger Frank Foster. I continued my musicality and attended Florida A&M University where I am a second year Business Administration major. In the Music Department, I am in the University Concert Choir, where I serve as 1st Vice President and 2nd Soprano Sectional Leader. I am also in the community service group, Habitat For Humanity.
