Increasing Student Envolvement

Just placing flyers around on the yard, will not motivate students. SGA Must go directly to the students to inform them about activities. A very affective way to motivate them is to inform students about what sort of benifits they can get from joining organizations. To accomplish this you must know what sort of person you are dealing with. An altruist is a person who focuses on the welfare of others. When appealing to this type of person you should let them know how much their involvement will benifit the needs of their fellow classmates, shcool and community. An egoist, is a person who focuses on their own personal welfare. When appealing to this type of person inform them on how their involvement will benefit themselves, such as how well it will look on a resume.
